Blessing of the Animals 2024

Blessing of the Animals

We stand in wonder of the beauty of creation.

The birds in the air, the fish in the sea, the insects we might not see, and our friends, the animals.

We thank them for the beauty they add to our lives, and the gifts they provide to us daily.

We offer them our love and protection. We wish them a peaceful existence, and a life free from suffering.

We commit our lives to the responsible stewardship of all living creatures and the entire Earth.

Amen.

We were welcomed back on a beautiful sunny fall day. The sanctuary was full, as was the auditorium for fellowship and lunch after worship.

Memorial Day Parade 2024

May 27, 2024

Showers fell as people gathered for the parade this year. Sad that marching bands had to bow out, but lots of marchers anyway. Michael Boratko rode by in his last parade before retiring from the National Guard. Penelope and Rachel Protos marched with Girl Scouts and Eleanor Wight was with the Crossing Guards. Of those enjoying the parade: Bob Vocelli, Mick Melvin, Carole Carter, Nancy Ball, Jim and Jeanne Warner, Rayda Bouma, Linda Moffit, Dave Simpson, Abby Perkins, Ginny Vocelli, Julia Rosa, Carol Lennig and Amy Melvin.
