June 2026 Reach Out: The Health Collective
We have chosen The Health Collective in honor of Pride Month
The Health Collective is a community-based nonprofit organization committed to advancing health equity and creating affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals and other marginalized communities across Greater Hartford. Guided by its mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care, promote healthy living, and advocate for solutions to the disparities and access barriers people face in healthcare, The Health Collective offers services including HIV/STI testing and treatment, vaccinations, comprehensive dental care, psychosocial support groups, and community-building programs.
The organization’s dental services accept private insurance and offer uninsured clients a sliding-scale fee structure based on income and ability to pay, while medical services are donation-based. No client is turned away due to an inability to pay. Clinics are located at 1841 Broad Street, Hartford and 64 Church Street, Manchester. This summer, a new facility will open at 643 Maple Avenue in Hartford, expanding its ability to provide compassionate, accessible care and connection to the community.

First Church Outreach is involved in helping people who struggle with food insecurity and homelessness, and we are particularly involved in working for equity and social justice.
