events are FREE unless otherwise mentioned. We ask that you register to secure a spot!

The John P. Webster Library (JPWL), along with First Church’s pastoral staff, sponsors frequent programs for adults. Programs on mental wellness, Islam, memoir-writing, antiracism, climate change, social justice, home improvement, and gardening are just a few of the topics we have explored in recent years. Some programs are offered in person in our beautiful facility, and others have a Zoom option.

Sound Healing & Meditation: Sunday, October 19, 2025, 4-5:30 p.m.

Kristin Vece’s “Sound Healing & Meditation” is an immersive journey utilizing sound therapy, meditation, and various energy healing modalities to provide an integrative wellness experience.  These sessions have been reported to provide anything from blissful relaxation as a restorative practice, to transformative re-patterning of thoughts, personal insights and heightened awareness, and spiritual connection for those seeking alignment of mind, body, and Spirit.

Participants are welcome to bring yoga mats, pillows, blankets, journals, and please dress comfortably. You may also bring your own “zero gravity chair” or portable chair! Chapel chairs will be available.
