Rev. Fredd Ward is foremost a person of faith — emphasis on the “person” part. Which means that he embraces the entire scope of his human experience with reverence for God as partner in marriage, parent to young adult children, preacher, pastor, and private citizen.
Rev. Fredd has served several United Church of Christ congregations in Connecticut: Director of Outreach Ministries at Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford (2002-2008); Associate Pastor at the Congregational Church of Naugatuck (2007-2017); and Senior Pastor at South Congregational Church in East Hartford (2017-2022).
His passions and pastimes include golf, gardening, the Green Bay Packers, and cycling. He is a music enthusiast; fan of affordable fashions; pet lover (two poodle-mix breeds); friend of Bill W.; ally to the LGBTQ and mental health communities; social and environmental justice advocate; and “minister” to all persons regardless of status or station.
