The Spirit Team and the JPW Library are delighted to share that Celtic Worship services have started for the season. Services will be held in the First Church Chapel on the 4th Sunday of each month at 5 p.m., *except for our December service, which will be Saturday, 12/21 at 4 p.m.
Celtic Christian Worship is a contemplative liturgical tradition that invites everyone to experience the sacredness of all creation. It’s a sensory journey that combines ancient rituals with the enduring message of Christianity, creating a space for deep connection and reflection. In this tradition, you’ll find a path to encounter the divine in the beauty of the everyday through prayer, poetry, live music, and shared silence.
Whether you’re facing emotional, physical, relational, or spiritual challenges—or if painful memories continue to trouble you—this service will help to help restore your spirit. We also hold in prayer those in our lives who need healing, particularly when they cannot or do not ask for help themselves. Prayer cards will be available for you as you enter. The service features soft candlelight, the laying on of hands, and compassionate prayer.
For any questions, please reach out to Liz Oman-Wilfred or Jennifer deSimas.
