Ash Wednesday, Lent, Holy Week and Easter Sunday

Ash Wednesday Service – February 18, 6:00 p.m.

What is Lent?  It’s the 40-day period (not including Sundays) leading up to Easter.  When is Lent?  It begins February 18th (Ash Wednesday) and ends April 2nd (Maundy Thursday).  And, so?  We’ll take the journey together, beginning with contemplative worship on Ash Wednesday — February 18th — at 6:00pm in the chapel.  The 30-minute service includes sacred music, a brief pastoral reflection, candle lighting, and imposition of ashes.  Come just as you are, without one plea…receive peace and pardon.

Palm Sunday, March 29 – 10 a.m. Worship

Celebrate the joy of Palm Sunday with us as we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem—an event marked by cheers and the waving of palm branches. We invite you, your family, and friends to join our special service on  Sunday, March 29 at 10 a.m. Enjoy uplifting worship, inspiring music, and palm fronds for everyone. Let’s make this a meaningful morning together!

Open Chapel – 12–1 p.m. in the Chapel

Join us for Open Chapel from 12-1 p.m. Open Chapel is an opportunity to rest and quietly reflect in the sacred space of the First Church Chapel. You are welcome to drop by for any part of the hour. We hope that you will find peace.

Indoor Labyrinth Walk – 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Auditorium

Contemplate your spiritual journey while walking the canvas labyrinth in the church auditorium. Or use one of the Lenten meditation cards available on site.
