At First Church, we understand that we truly are the body of Christ, and our outreach missions reflect our belief in showing kindness and compassion to all of God’s creation. There are countless ways to get involved in the outreach work of First Church — whether you want to serve hot meals to your neighbors or build houses for those who desperately need them, your hands are needed here! First Church Outreach is involved in helping people who struggle with food insecurity and homelessness, and we are particularly involved in working for equity and social justice.

The Inreach Team is our ministry that supports the First Church family of members and guests by being a visible manifestation of caring for one and all. We strive to accomplish this through a variety of work groups including: Parish Care, Hospitality, and Fellowship. We welcome and encourage membership involvement.

First Church strives to provide a safe and fun place for Middle School and High School students to enjoy wholesome activities which engender a love of God and care for others. We strive to provide an environment where our youth feel accepted, included, and valued. We design activities and plan events that are fun, build trust, develop confidence, provide opportunities for fellowship and encourage spiritual growth. We also seek to put our faith into action to assist our local and global neighbors.

First Church offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year to engage adults. In addition to the ongoing programs such as book groups, speakers, and events, the community takes occasional day trips to local theaters, seminaries, and houses of worship to explore spirituality and faith in the wider community.
